In 2013 I headed West for better fishing in Alaska, after falling short here in Vermont. After several months on the ocean, I came home and recorded these songs. I have always been lucky to have amazing friends who happen to be amazing musicians, and in this collection of songs, I was able to capture of few of them and their incredible talent. We played some of these songs live briefly, but then I headed back.

Life happens. Money and time run out. Things change. People change.

I forgot about this album for a long time.

Now, for me, it defines a moment in time before a lot of things, like my marriage, and my children, and my 30's... but also reminds me of some pretty monumental stuff like real heartbreak and hopelessness, true adventure, and perseverance through the unknown.

I am glad to finally be able to share these songs.
